The athlete enters their bib number and takes one selfie. The engine scans every photo of your event and hands them theirs, usually before they've finished their recovery drink.
A bib number only gets you the easy shots. Our engine was born in motorsport, where there are no faces at all, so it learned to recognize people by everything else, too.

03A bib number is simple to read when it's clear and facing the camera. The hard shots (crumpled bibs, arms across the chest, runners from behind, sunglasses and mud) are where most photos go missing. RaceLabs was built in motorsport, where there are no bibs and no faces at all, so it recognises a participant by everything else too, and far more of your field actually gets their photos.

Every athlete sees their gallery watermarked, then buys the shots they want, individually or in a pack. We run the whole purchase flow, so the photos turn into sales on their own.
Their bib number is enough on its own. Adding a selfie is optional and simply sharpens the results, pulling in the harder shots where the bib is hidden, crumpled or they are facing away.
You open your gallery with your bib number plus a private verification, your date of birth or email (the organiser chooses which). It is never public, so no one can browse someone else's photos.
Photos are indexed by bib number when the photographer uploads them. Facial recognition only runs after you start a search and tick a mandatory consent box, and only to find your own photos, including the ones where your bib is not clearly visible. No biometric data is processed before that consent, and we never build a face database that anyone else can search.
Adding a selfie is optional and only deepens your own search. The selfie and the face data created from it are deleted immediately afterwards, and are never stored or reused.
